War Memorial 4

Roll of Honour

The diggers saw
and did pay
the price of
freedom.
Battles they fought
against foes
were important.

War alone does not
secure a future.
The future is secured by
doing hard work
getting up every day,
delivering us.

We remember
our history,
our soldiers.
ANAZC Day
pays homage
to those
who were called upon
to do things
beyond our comprehension.

Notes: “Digger” is a slang term for Australian and New Zealand soldiers.
ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance that commemorates our fallen soldiers.

Death.
War kills.
People
killed.
Shelled.
Children
and women.
End the bloodshed.
It’s murderous.
